What is this all about?

As a software developer, I originally felt obligated to make this a “technical blog,” and considering my interests, I’m sure I’ll write many technical posts. But I don’t want to limit myself. Expect posts about baseball, video games, traveling, frugality, and whatever else nags me in the future.

Why now?

I realized two things that motivated me to start a blog:

• I have too many incomplete thoughts
• I’m often uncomfortable sharing my thoughts

I’m hoping that this will help me both flesh out my thoughts and open up to expressing them. If I happen to write something that you find valuable, that would be an awesome bonus!

What are “Nafis hours”?

On my last week as an undergrad teaching assistant, someone came to my office hours and pointed out that I should call it “Nafis hours.” TWO YEARS of holding office hours, yet I missed out on the one pun involving my name. So here I am, making up for that missed opportunity. Welcome to Nafis Hours.
